Delivery Times & Logistics
Timeframes:
- Local stock items typically arrive within 3–7 working days.
- National deliveries take 7–14 working days.
- Lead times for made-to-order items will be confirmed at the point of purchase.
We will email you post purchase to confirm delivery.
Updates:
We’ll provide an estimated timeframe when you place your order and notify you of any significant delays caused by external factors (e.g. weather or supplier disruption).
Access:
Please ensure the route to your selected room is clear. If doors or bannisters need to be removed, this must be arranged prior to delivery.
National Orders:
These are Doorstep / Curbside only. Drivers are not insured to enter the property, so please ensure you have assistance available to move items inside.

Items must be dry and easily accessible for our team.
Cancellations (Online & Phone Orders)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to change your mind within 14 days of receiving your goods.
When you can cancel:
You’ve changed your mind (and the item is eligible, see below)
- There is a pricing or description error
- There is a significant delivery delay
- The item is faulty, or we have failed in our service
How to cancel:
Email sales@worldofbeds.co.uk or contact your local branch with your name, order number, and the items you wish to cancel.
Returns
For health and hygiene reasons, you cannot change your mind on sealed hygiene products once unsealed.
This includes: Pillows, duvets, toppers, and bedding
Mattresses:
If delivered in protective packaging, once opened, mattresses are no longer eligible for a ‘change of mind’ return.
Made-to-Order:
Bespoke items cannot be cancelled once production has started.
Note: If you are unhappy with your mattress after opening it, please refer to our 30-Night Sleep Trial (requires purchase of a mattress protector).
Collection & Refunds

Condition:
Items must be returned in ‘as-new’ condition and original packaging. We may deduct from your refund if items are damaged due to poor repackaging. -
Charges:
A collection fee applies to change-of-mind returns. This will be confirmed before booking. There is no charge for collecting faulty or misdescribed items. -
Refund Timeline:
Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the goods.
We refund the item cost and standard delivery charge. Enhanced services (e.g. £35 Room of Choice) are non-refundable.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, please contact us immediately. We’ll arrange a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your statutory rights.
For national deliveries, please note any packaging damage on the driver’s handheld device upon arrival.
National Delivery Protocols
We proudly deliver across the UK Mainland, using specialist furniture couriers experienced in handling large and heavy items.
- Service Level: Curbside / Doorstep delivery only
- Booking Your Slot: Couriers will contact you via SMS or email with a delivery window once dispatched
- Inspection: Please inspect the packaging on arrival and record any damage on the driver’s device before signing
30-Night Risk-Free Sleep Trial
Sleep with total peace of mind. If your new mattress isn’t the perfect fit after 30 nights, we’ll help you swap it.
- Requirement: Mattress protector purchase required
- Process: Sleep on it for at least 30 nights, then contact us within 40 days of delivery
- Condition: Mattress must be kept in ‘as-new’ condition
